![]() However, I did not stop at only that laptop as I had another device (laptop) that I also used which is a hp pavilion x360. ![]() Then I ran another scan and found the same backdoor viruses but only 4 of them so I blocked/removed them as well as run a Microsoft safety scanner where I found no infected files so I deemed that laptop to be safe. I also tried to use the Microsoft safety scanner but I had no success with it and my laptop was very slow so I decided to reset my pc, delete all of the partitions, and reinstall windows via USB. Now after I found this out I had removed/blocked any of the threats I found. There were other threats but I do not remember as I reset my pc but I believe those threats were also backdoor related. ![]() But I had not scanned in a while until a couple of days ago where I used windows defender and found there to be a lot of backdoor related viruses like "Backdoor:MSIL/AsyncRat.AD!MTB" and "Backdoor:Win32/LimeRat.YA!MTB." and "Backdoor:MSIL/Noancooe.A." And the affect files were svc.exe, svchost.exe, svcthost.exe. But after a couple of years I decided to not renew and uninstall it and just use the in-built windows defender. I am currently using a HP laptop that I have had for 4+ years and during the beginning of those years I had used an anti-virus called McAfee.
